While the raw material is washed to minimize the smell, it may still be noticeable immediately after unpacking or depending on the environment such as temperature and humidity. Countermeasure 1: Replace the air inside the comforter. Folding the comforter into a small size and pressing from above to push out the air inside is effective. Countermeasure 2: Dry the down comforter. Hanging it in a well-ventilated, shaded area can mitigate the dissolution of oils. While primarily used during cold seasons, if delivered in a hot and humid environment, the down may retain heat. In such cases, cooling the down can reduce the odor. Countermeasure 3: Please store it in a well-ventilated place.
