This cushion is chosen for guests, memorial services, and Buddhist ceremonies. It features a fukure woven cushion in a size of 59×63cm. The filling is 100% cotton, weighing 1.4kg, with waterproof and water-repellent processing, and is manufactured in Sanuki.

The jacquard weave is a type of fabric where patterns and designs appear three-dimensional and large. The gloss contrast changes depending on the viewing angle, giving it an elegant appearance. The uneven surface of the jacquard weave prevents slipping, allowing for stable seating over long periods.

The cushion is filled with 100% cotton, where each cotton fiber has a hollow structure and is twisted. This results in excellent natural breathability and moisture absorption, with moderate firmness and elasticity, offering a different experience compared to polyester synthetic cotton. A 100% cotton cushion is well-suited to Japan’s climate and has a substantial feel, gently conforming to the body for the authentic comfort of a cushion.

The large Hattanban size of 59×63 ensures a firm thickness, allowing for relaxed and comfortable seating on tatami, flooring, or carpet, suitable for both Japanese and Western styles.

The cushion is made using traditional Japanese methods. The central part of the cushion features “wa-toji stitching,” where the ample filling of the fukure cushion is securely fixed with 16 stitches, ensuring stability until the filling settles in. The “tassels at the four corners” are fixed with 12 threads to prevent the filling from shifting or twisting.

The indicated size of the cushion refers to the size of the cover fabric. Immediately after manufacturing, the actual size may be slightly smaller than indicated due to the loftiness of the filling. Over time, as the filling settles, it will approach the indicated size.
