Author Profile (from "BOOK Author Information") Hinohara Kenji Born in Chiba Prefecture in 1974. Completed the master's course at the Graduate School of Letters, Keio University. Chief curator at the Ota Memorial Museum of Art, and part-time lecturer at Keio University. Researches the history of ukiyo-e and publishing culture from the Edo to Meiji periods Hirano Megumi Born in Osaka Prefecture in 1965. Completed the master's course at Meiji University Graduate School, and the doctoral course at the Graduate University for Advanced Studies. PhD (Literature). After working as a specialist at the Bunkyo Furusato History Museum, a part-time lecturer at Meiji University, and a curator at the Omiya Bonsai Museum, he is now a specialist at the Local History and Materials Research Room of the Taito City Central Library, and a part-time lecturer at Toyo University. He specializes in the history of Japanese culture and thought in the early modern period, and is in charge of exhibiting the cultural history of chrysanthemums and morning glories as a member of the exhibition project committee at the National Museum of Japanese History and Botanical Gardens of Everyday Life (this data was published at the time this book was published)
