This is an etiquette product that masks toilet sounds with the sound of flowing water. It features a hygienic new design that allows activation and deactivation by simply waving a hand in front of the sensor. This is becoming common in public toilets, known as an etiquette practice for women. This toilet accessory can be used at home, too. Waving a hand near the built-in sensor triggers the sound, and waving again stops it. Additionally, waving twice allows it to stop automatically after 30 seconds. Previously, there were no such “sound effect” products, so people often flushed to create sound. Flushing once costs about 3 yen in Tokyo’s 23 wards, which amounts to approximately 32,853 yen per person annually (based on usage of three times a day, 3 yen x 3 times x 365 days). However, using this ECO melody sound instead can lead to significant savings. It includes a volume control button (high/low).
